Transaction Interface for Mobile (TIM)
In
May 2005, Opiah system launched its ‘Transaction Interface for
Mobile
’ (TIM), which was developed by Opiah's strategic technology
partner Kreya. TIM is a patented middleware solution which when
deployed on a mobile terminal allows secure financial transactions
to be made from that terminal without the need to secure an
(expensive) commercial relationship with individual mobile
operators. The first TIM prototype was delivered in November 2005.

TIM will be used by a mobile gaming operator to support the financial transactions underpinning

recharge their credit balances whilst roaming. This is a truly
global service, that is capable of ensuring that no prepaid
subscriber need never run out of credit again whilst they are
outside their home country
